Monti Nicolás. The Proto-Indo-European reduced grade - a systematic account on PIE *a vocalism

Research work. — Unpublished. — 2022. — 124 p.The present work aims to provide a clear cut systematic account on the structure of the zero grade in PIE based on the root structure and a simple and satisfactory account on /a/ vocalism in Celtic, Greek and Italic. The present hypothesis has the power of erasing almost all the caveats in LIV regarding to unexpected vocalism or unexpected zero grade structure and also allows us to integrate to the regular PIE phono-morphological inventory many words geographically wide-spread regarded as substrate in the literature due its /a/ vocalism.
