Deshmukh H. JFCJA Oracle Java Foundations Certified Junior Associate Java SE 8 Practice Exams (Exam Code 1Z0-811)
Independently published, 2020. — 1413 p.
As per Oracle, earning the Java Foundations Certified Junior Associate credential arms you with the fundamentals of Java programming, enabling you to demonstrate both conceptual knowledge and skills. Certification also validates your capabilities to a future employer, showing your potential to become an increasingly valuable asset to any company as you progress into OCA level during your early stage of employment, and later to OCP. This Junior Associate certification is focused on students in secondary schools, two-year colleges and four-year colleges and universities who have participated in the Oracle Academy program and/or are studying computer science including relevant Java curricula and faculty members who teach foundational Java and computer science classes. Though the exam does not assume any hands-on professional experience with Java, to be successful you will need a basic understanding of Java programming language and concepts and have mathematical, logical, and analytical problem-solving skills. In addition, you must know how to write and execute a Java program and work with the Java Development kit (JDK) and the Java Runtime Environment (JRE).
Who should use this book
This book is for Java beginners who have gone through or are going through a beginners Java book and is preparing for the JFC JA 1Z0-811 exam.
If you are a Java beginner, you should use this book as a supplement to which ever regular Java programming book you are going through. Although the explanations contained in this book are very thorough, this book is not a tutorial or a guide and it is not meant to replace a regular Java book. It is not meant to teach you all the basics of Java programming. You should use this book to check how well you are learning the concepts by answering questions for any given exam objective. For example, if you are done studying the topic of Constructors from another book, you should attempt the questions given in this book on this topic and check how much you've learnt. If you have already gone through a book, you may attempt a complete mock exam and see how you score. If you pass the mock exam, you may proceed with the next mock exam, otherwise you need to go back to your regular Java programming book and read up on the topics on which you scored less.
