In honorem Holger Pedersen. Kolloquium der Indogermanischen Gesellschaft (Kopenhagen, 26.–28. März 1993). — Ed. by J. E. Rasmussen. — Wiesbaden: Reichert, 1994. — P. 397–400.
In his talk, the handout of which was posthumously published in the conference proceedings, Schindler discussed the evidence for two acrostatic types, one with o-grade vowel in strong caseforms and the other one with ē vowel in strong caseforms. He also put forth the recalcitrant notion of "Narten systems" proposing that nominal forms with ē/e root ablaut correlated with verbal forms showing lengthened grade in the forms where full grade is expected.
